The Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS) is looking to appoint three independent non-executive members to the NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB).

The NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board will be a new NHS organisation, following the implementation of proposed legislation from April 2022, and will take on the CCG’s functions and broader strategic responsibility for overseeing healthcare strategies for the system.

The independent non-executive members will provide a creative and innovative contribution to the board, by providing independent oversight and constructive challenge. The board needs diverse, inclusive and compassionate leaders who not only reflect the community they serve, and the staff employed, but have the leadership style and breadth of perspective to make good collective decisions.

The NHS Integrated Care Board is looking for candidates who will support the establishment of the system’s new statutory arrangements. The ICS is keen to receive applications from people with different backgrounds, skills and experience.

Below are the three non-executive member roles being recruited to and will all be full voting members of the Board:

  • Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee
  • Chair of the Remuneration, People and Culture Committee
  • Chair of the Finance Committee

Rt. Hon Patricia Hewitt, Chair of the Norfolk and Waveney ICS and Chair-designate of NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB), said: “These are exciting roles that will have an important job in shaping improvements in health and care across Norfolk and Waveney in the future.

“There is a lot of work to do between now and 1 April 2022 as we transition to an ICS, but we have a hugely exciting opportunity to build on many years of partnership working and I am confident that by working together, we will endeavour to bring waiting lists down, reduce health inequalities and help more people lead longer, healthier and happier lives.”
