We are working together to make sure children and young people living in Norfolk and Waveney get the best possible start in life. One of our priorities is making sure there are high quality physical and mental health services in place. By working together we can collectively make the biggest difference to the lives of children and young people living locally.
To improve services for children and young people we:
- Have reviewed child and adolescent mental health services and are creating a much more integrated children’s system. Read more.
- Are investing £100m of capital funding for new special educational needs schools and units in mainstream schools in Norfolk, so that more children are taught closer to where they live and get the support they need
- Are providing greater support to more isolated children and families in need of help and advice, through increased local support, easier to access information and crucial outreach work, through Norfolk's new Early Childhood and Family Service
- Are working together to improve social mobility, reduce health inequalities and tackle social exclusion.
